Happy Day after Christmas/ Happy Boxing Day!!

Hello everyone. Happy Day after Christmas or as I like to call it Happy Boxing Day. Now you’re asking what is Boxing Day? Well, I’m so glad you asked because I have the answer for you. According to Wikipedia:

Second Day of Christmastide

Boxing Day is a secular holiday celebrated the day after Christmas Day. It originated in the United Kingdom, and is celebrated in a number of countries that previously formed part of the British Empire. Boxing Day is on 26 December, although the attached bank holiday or public holiday may take place either on that day or two days later.

In some European countries, such as Romania, Hungary, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia, 26 December is celebrated as a Second Christmas Day.[1]

I love this day because they celebrated in England and England is one of my favorite places in the whole. Now you’re asking why is that? Well, I’ll tell you. It turns out my dad was doing his ancestry sometime back and he found that his family is from England. So I’m half Italian which I got from my mom’s side and I’m half British which I get from my dad’s side. I’m going to do this ancestry stuff to find out where else my family from. I would love to know. So back to the subject at hand. This discovery explained so much to me. It explained a lot actually. It explained my English accent (OMG darling yes I do have an accent) and my love for British tv shows, movies, and soap operas. My Favorite tv show is Are You Being Served? which a comedy about a shop and its men and ladies wear departments. It’s old, it’s funny, and no wait it’s hilarious. My favorite Soap Operas are Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Eastenders, and Hollyoaks. All which have gay characters in them which makes them even greater than they already are. I officially started to celebrate this holiday this year. I intend to celebrate it every year. I did stuff I wanted to do today while also doing stuff my mom needed to get done, but couldn’t because she had to work. Ugh. And I got some great news today on top of that. I got a call from a place I applied to a while back and they want me for an interview. I go Friday for an interview. I’m truly excited. Yes! God has been good to me this year.

I finally finished cleaning my room. It took me two days, but I did it. Tomorrow I start on my bathroom. I’m doing it differently this time. I plan to clean with “natural cleaners” that I plan to make. I’m so excited. No, actually I’m super excited. Yes and Yay! I helped my mom today as well. I took our trash for her to the landfill and I made a donation pile of things I didn’t want or didn’t use. I have a small pile, but I have a feeling it will get bigger. I feel really good about it. I do need to re-organize my bookcase and move it toward my desk, but I’ll do that tomorrow and it shouldn’t take long. It’s a very small bookcase. It has my printer on it and I want my printer to be closer to the computer. It makes it easier when I’m printing out papers. I feel better now that my desk and my table in my room are organized and cleaned and everything has a new place. I love it. It’s awesome. I just have to keep it that way. Overall today was not a good day, but in the end, it wasn’t that bad after all. My mom makes it so much easier. She comes home and smiles and she makes me feel great. Well, that’s my news. I’ll let you know the interview goes. I love you and a wonderful evening.

Always in Love,

Kathleen

P.S. My picture of my Family on Christmas Eve as promised. I hope you enjoy it.

My Leading Ladies....

Allow me to introduce everyone. My oldest sister Christa is in the pink and gray on the left, my mom is in the middle in her cranberry sweater, Megan is in her black leggings and her awesome brown boots, and I am on the end in my wine colored boots, my flowered leggings and my beautiful sweater that doesn’t match my outfit, but that I love on cold days. These are my leading ladies. I love them. They are my rock, my best friends, loving, supportive, amazing, and STRONG women!!
